Obituary of Robert B. 'Bob' MacMillan, New Waterford

It is with sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Robert B. 'Bob' MacMillan, 71, of New Waterford on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in New Waterford, he was a son of the late Waldow and Marie (MacLean) MacMillan. In earlier years, Bob was employed with the Cape Breton District School Board. Surviving are his former wife, Jean (DeWaepenaere) MacMillan; sons, Malcolm, Doug, Bruce, David; daughter, Colleen; sister, Pearl (Ed) Ouelette; six grandchildren. Besides his parents, Bob was predeceased by two brothers, Edward and Charles. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford. In honouring Bob's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
