Obituary of Sheila Anna MacNeil, New Waterford

With heavy hearts, we the family of Sheila MacNeil, age 82, regrets to announce her sudden passing on Saturday April 29, 2017 at home.

Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Alice (Quinn) Cameron.

Sheila was a kind hearted and compassionate person who cared deeply for everyone who entered her home. She always made sure you were greeted with a cup of tea.

She had a love for animals especially for her 3 cats.

Sheila is survived by her daughters, Selina, Cassilda (Glenn) Barry, Petrina (Gary) Boutilier and special granddaughters, Brittany (Jason) and Breanne ( Dave) whom she cherished deeply.

She will be also be dearly missed by her niece, Marilla and nephews, Doug, Wayne Fraser and also Sonny and Selena Pearson from Ontario whom she looked forward to seeing during the summer months.

Sheila was predeceased by her husband, Duncan, son and daughter in infancy and a granddaughter Courtney and her sister, Alice Fraser.

At her request there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford.  A funeral mass of celebration will take place Wednesday, May 3rd, at 10 a.m. in the Parish Church of St. Leonard, Mount Carmel Avenue, with Father Ray Huntley officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Plummer Avenue, New Waterford.
