Debbie came down to visit me at X second year. I had met her first year on the train back to Sydney for winter break. She was a person larger than life; so much personality in that little frame of hers! We would often meet up when I was in Sydney on the weekends and have a night out on Charlotte Street.

Debbie was actually born on the same day as my dear cousin, Colleen Farrell, the sister I never had. In fact, Debbie's mother Vera and my aunt shared a room together at St. Rita's.

A few years back, I took my husband to Sydney to meet my family. We met Debbie at Wentworth Perk to catch up; although we had reconnected on Facebook several years back, we only met face to face for the first time in over 25 years in 2015. The afternoon coffee catch up went on well into the evening, where we ended up at the Triangle on Charlotte Street.

She will be terribly missed. I am so very sorry I was unable to come to any of the services; I am living in Boston.
