Obituary of Florence A. Cochrane

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Vi Cochrane, age 99, formerly of Glace Bay on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at her residence in Port Morien. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Cerina (Gracie) Cochrane. Vi is survived by her sisters, Blanche Burrows, Catherine Bothem, Shirley MacDonald, Kay MacNeil, brothers, Ernie, Bill and Tom. She was the much loved aunt and honorary grandmother of Cherie Villeneuve and Harold Pino. Besides her parents, Vi was predeceased by three sisters, Stella Warren, Claire Taylor, Milly Maggrah and four brothers, Johnny, Charles, Melvin and Joe. Special thanks to Kay and Roy MacNeil for their compassionate, loving care. If you wish, a donation in Vi’s name can be made to the SPCA. Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J.
