Sunday mornings with Rev. Purchase and 8 or so other teenagers at Knox Hall in Glace Bay were always interesting! He challenged us to think about our beliefs and explain them while always respecting our points of view no matter where the conversations led. Not easy to captivate a "captive" audience of teenagers at 10 in the morning on a weekend but Rev. Purchase was successful in doing just that. My condolences to the family at this time.

Rev Purchase was in Woodstock when my family attended. I found him to be friendly, kind and wonderful. His passing will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His family have my deepest sympathies. Dave Page

Our family have such wonderful memories of Ray, Elsie and family from the Miramichi. He was a sweet gentle man that we all have fond memories of. The choir in our youth and all the kids in the Hall having a good time. Hugs and thoughts to you and the family
