It is with Heavy Hearts and great sorrow that we announce the passing of Keith Edward Podgursky, 57,  of New Waterford Nova Scotia.

Keith passed away suddenly in Fort McMurray on April 12th 2023. 

Keith was the youngest child of Albert and Mania Podgursky. He loved his wife, his work, his children, grandchildren, carpentry, as well as his black mistress (His Mustang).

Keith was a wonderful husband and father, avid gamer, five-star meatloaf chef and dad joke expert.

He was the most loved and respected man, not only in his loving home, but everywhere he went. Keith and his wife could usually be found at the Pier Legion on the dance floor where he will be missed by all the friends he made there.

Keith leaves to mourn the love of his life, his childhood friend and partner of 10 years, Linda (Chrissy) Podgursky, Tower Road; eight children, Julia (Greg), Fort McMurray, Angel (Thomas), Sydney, Chantel, Sydney, Brian, Kentville, Rachael, Sydney; and three children from a previous marriage; many loving nieces and nephews. 

He was also a loving grandfather to 11 grandchildren who were the lights of his life; Dustin, Woody, Serah, Elijah, Dean-Edward, Rachel, Bentley, Elle, Summer, Joe, and Wesley.

Keith was also survived by his four siblings, Kathy (Gil) MacDougall ,New Waterford, Kim (Martin) Campbell, Sydney, Karen, Ontario, and Kevin.

He was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Mania.

Keith will be greatly missed by his union brothers who have come to be family.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 25/26, 2023 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, April 27 at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Deacon Lorne MacNeil officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery with a reception to follow at the K.O.C. in New Waterford. Donations in his memory may be made to the Lung Association. We will carry him to his last turn around so he can begin building his scaffold to heaven.
