Dorsch (Morrison), Shirley

April 12, 1935- June 21, 2023

We are saddened to announce the passing of our mother on June 21, 2023, at age 88.

Survived by her children Brenda (Gary), Loranne (Daryl) and David (Sheila). Grandchildren Shyla (Dave), Alana, Emily, Jamie, Sydney, Owen, Nathan, great-grandchildren Casey, Griffin, Keegan. Shirley’s brother Jake (Donna) Morrison in Glace Bay, her many loved nieces and nephews, as well as her special friends Bozo, Kelly, and Chris.

Predeceased by her late husband Jim, her parents John and Belva and her many siblings.

Shirley was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia and moved to Waterloo where she raised her family. Shirley enjoyed her time working at the University of Waterloo Food Services where she worked for many years. She enjoyed her many trips home to Glace Bay, her winters in Florida but most importantly she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Keeping with moms wishes Cremation has taken place.  A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
