It is with great sadness that the family of Cletus MacNeil (Goldie) announce his passing on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at the age of 84 after a long, hard fought battle with Alzheimer's. Cletus lived and raised his family in New Waterford, NS and was a coal miner for 42 years and loved every minute of it.

Cletus will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Mae; children, Scott, Windsor, ON, Allen and Charlene, Sydney, NS, Darryl and Molly, Florida; grandchildren, Morgan, Meaghan, Brett, Kinnon; siblings, Gerard,, Glace Bay, NS and Carmella, Cole Harbour, NS and numerous other family members.

Cletus was predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Annie; siblings, Joey, Patsy, Greg, Gwalbert, Charlie, Keats, and Donald.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 17 from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. all in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home Chapel, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford with Father Godwin Obike officiating.
