Obituary of Gertrude "Gertie" O'Donnell, Glace Bay

Gertrude O’Donnell, age 95, a former resident of Douglas Avenue, Glace Bay passed away on Tuesday, August 13^th, 2024 in Victoria Haven Nursing Home.

Born in Isaac’s Harbour, Guysborough, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Henry & Eva (Sponagle) O’Donnell.

Gertie was employed at nursing homes in Ontario for many years and was known to have a sharp sense of humour.

She is survived by sisters, Barb, Laura, Patricia, Margaret, brothers, and Sheila; Robert, Tommy and Marty O’Donnell.

Gertie was predeceased by sisters, Doris, Mary, Viola and Alice.

There will be no services in Glace Bay. Gertie with be interred in Prospect Cemetery, Toronto.
