Gertrude O’Donnell, age 95, a former resident of Douglas Avenue, Glace Bay passed away on Tuesday, August 13th, 2024 in Victoria Haven Nursing Home.

Born in Isaac’s Harbour, Guysborough, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Henry & Eva (Sponagle) O’Donnell.

Gertie was employed at nursing homes in Ontario for many years and was known to have a sharp sense of humour.

She is survived by sisters, Barb, Laura, Patricia, Margaret, brothers, and Sheila; Robert, Tommy and Marty O’Donnell.

Gertie was predeceased by sisters, Doris, Mary, Viola and Alice.

There will be no services in Glace Bay. Gertie with be interred in Prospect Cemetery, Toronto.
