It is with sadness that we announce the passing of William Edward "Billy" Doucette, age 62 on Monday, November 18th, 2024 at his residence in New Waterford.

Born in North Sydney, Billy was the son of the late William “Billy” & Catherine Ann “Kitty” (MacDonald) Doucette.

In his younger years, Billy was employed at a local bakery. He was an animal lover who enjoyed fishing and camping.

Billy is survived by sons, Darren and Billy, Alberta, brother, Gerard (Bernadette), Dominion, sister, Wendy, New Waterford, nephew, Shane Doucette and his fur buddies, Opie & Whitey.

There will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25th at 10 am in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford. Fr. Godwin Obike presiding.

Memorial donations in memory of Billy, may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
