Obituary of Halle David Sweet, Glace Bay
With broken hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Halle David Sweet age 22 of Glace Bay on Thursday February 20, 2025 in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Sydney, due to a tragic hit and run accident.
Halle was the beloved daughter of Kimberly Sweet and George Budge. Halle’s arrival into this world was perfectly timed, bringing light into our family at a time of heartfelt sorrow with the passing of her uncle David. So needless to say she deserved the title of our “Angel Baby”.
Halle was a very intelligent, happy child with a strong independent spirit, who loved to learn with great independence. Halle was very athletic and talented. She loved cheerleading, dancing and singing, it wasn’t uncommon to find her doing handstands in the middle of the kitchen.
Growing up Halle found great joy in spending time with Mom and Dad, her siblings, family and friends. Halle had a great love for the ocean, swimming all day at the beach with family brought not only joy but seemed to bring her a sense of peace and freedom.
Halle D., we know you fought your battles within and over time those battles were harder to overcome but our memories of time spent together as a family with lots of laughter and special moments will be etched in our hearts, giving us strength until we meet again.
Besides her parents, Halle is survived by brothers Carter, Camden and sister Harlee Mae and half brother Jordan, maternal grandparents, Sheila and Walter Sweet, paternal grandparents, Henry Budge and Hazel Ford as well as special uncles, Jason and Brennon and special aunt Melinda.
Cremation has taken place, there will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be held on Halle’s 23rd birthday, Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 12 noon in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay, followed by a reception.
“Until we meet again Halle D.
You are forever our “Angel Baby”
Bonded by heart and soul”
