Obituary of Myrna Marie McIsaac, New Waterford

With deepest sorrow, the family of Myrna McIsaac wish to announce her passing on Saturday, April 5, 2025 surrounded by her loving family at her side. This took place after a short, but hard, cancer illness.

Treasured mother of Dawn, Robin and Jacqueline. She was also the grandmother of Tyler, who lived with her since she was two months old. Myrna also raised two step-daughters, Kayla and Tierney and two adoptive children, Tyler and Bobby Joe.

Mourning her passing are her sisters, Darlene (John), LeeAnn (Sean) and brothers, Andy (Beverly) and Blair (Roxanne).

She was predeceased by her parents, Andrew "Gump" and Florence "Flo" McIsaac and brothers, Wayne, George and Kenneth.

Fondly remembered by her precious grandchildren, Jordan, Trinity, Dante, Reid and Lorien. She had many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Myrna could be described in two words; free spirited. She loved to travel, covering most of the provinces of Canada throughout her lifetime.

Friendship was paramount to her. She was the type of person who would rather give something to someone with no expectation of getting anything back.

Summertime was the time she enjoyed the most spending her days on Sangaree Island making memories cherished by her family.

Her children always came first in her life and she loved being called nanny. Special occasions were always her time to buy gifts for them. As they grow, they will have memories to cherish forever.

Myrna was a hard-working woman who always sought to help others. She was a local established artist and once partnered in the Muscle and Truck Handyman business. Her quick wit and storytelling made her a welcomed addition to any gathering. Her love will shine bright and she will be missed by those fortunate to have had the pleasure of knowing her.

Special thank you to our aunt, Lorraine, and cousin, Judy, for spending time with her in her final days. A special thank you to all doctors and nurses in both the cancer unit and ICU whose compassion and support could not be surpassed. Most of all, to all her friends that have come forward offering their support during this tragic time for us. Thank you all very much.

Cremation has taken place. A private service will be held in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home Chapel, New Waterford, with father Godwin Obike officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel cemetery. A Celebration of Life will take place at the French Club in New Waterford on Friday, April 11 from 2-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at:www.vjmcgillivray.ca.

See Me Beautiful

Look for the best in me

It`s what I really am

And all I want to be.

It may take some time

It may be hard to find,

But see me beautiful.

See me beautiful

Each and every day.

Could you take a chance,

Could you find a way

To see me shining through

In everything I do

And see me beautiful.
