Obituary of Donna Marie Belvin, New Waterford

It is with sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Donna Marie Belvin, age 64, on Monday, April 21, 2025 in Hospice Cape Breton.

Born in New Waterford, she was a daughter of the late Thomas "Tommy" and Elizabeth "Lizzie" (McMullin) Hogan. 

Donna loved and cared about her children. She enjoyed the outdoors; camping, going for drives, and swimming in the ocean. Other interests included crafts, namely converting basic face drawings to colorful creations. Donna was also an avid cook and professed TV and movie buff. 

Surviving are sons, Ryan Seselja (Katherine), Aaron Seselja (Karolina), Anthony Seselja (Crystal); sisters, Kelly Hogan, Adele Hogan, Ivy Lozinski, Mindy Tellum, Debbie Beaudry and Judy Mullin; brothers, Tommy Hogan Jr., Jimmy Hogan, Angus Hogan and Cornelius Hogan; four grandchildren, Hailey Seselja, Jordan, Madison, and Logan; many neices, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a nephew, Yvon Beaudry. 

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from noon until the time of the service at 2 p.m. all in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home Chapel, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford. Rev. Dana Feltmate officiating. Donations in her memory may be made to the Cape Breton Cancer Centre or Hospice Cape Breton.
