It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of Marion Florence Lewis on July 2nd, 2025.

Born Jan. 1, 1953, Marion was the daughter of the late Maymie and Rannie MacDonald.

She was known for her Love of having the company of family and friends and all of those who she held dearly. Marion had a smile that could light up a room and was also known for her beautiful laugh as well as wonderful sense of humor. Always tapping her feet and enjoying music, it was very apparent that she had an immense love for her friends, family and animals (especially Koda and Skye).

Surviving are her two daughters, Tara (Jesse-significant other) and Rachel; stepson, Trevor (wife- Myra) and grandson, Austin; nieces and nephews, Melissa, Kyle and Kayla, also Nicole, Aaron MacDonald, April Halladay and Aaron Lewis; dearly loved brother, Wayne (wife - Maureen); sister-in-law, Cher.

Marion was predeceased by her husband, Bill; siblings, Ronnie, Donna, Anna MacSween (husband - Connie), Neil MacDonald and nephew, Tyler.

A special thank you to the Cape Breton Home Care Workers and all the kind souls who lent her a hand. Marion will be sadly missed by all the hearts she has touched. The world will no longer be the same for those who have known her.

There will be no visitation or service at this time. A private family service will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place under the care and guidance of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, New Waterford. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Nova Scotia SPCA-Cape Breton Shelter.
