Cecilia Gertrude Kelly, Glace Bay Obituary

We regret to announce the passing of Cecilia Gertrude Kelly just 6 weeks away from her much anticipated 100th Birthday. She was the daughter of Neil and Josephine (MacNeil) Harrietha.

Cecilia met and married Wish (Aloysius) Kelly in 1943 and together they had 4 children, Peggy, Pat, Kevin and Cotter and from there the family continued to grow.

Cecilia was involved with several groups and fellowships over the years with the people in her parish and in her neighborhood. She was known for her talent for sewing, knitting and crocheting and for several years taught classes in her husband’s little shop in their yard.

She had a few memorable trips to Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré and in later years enjoyed many bus trips to Our Lady of Grace Shrine in Monastery where she made lasting friendships.

Cecilia’s latest and one of her most fulfilling groups to belong to was her much cherished Adult Day Program at the Hospital in Glace Bay. She had much fun and made great friendships and that friendship was returned in bounds.
