Murray left this earth for his Heavenly home on September 21, 2025.
Murray was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on December 1, 1963. His parents and he moved to Florida when he was two. He went to Temple Heights Christian School from kindergarten to 12th grade and attended Temple Heights Baptist Church. He played football and basketball and loved hanging out with his friends from school and causing a little bit of chaos! When he was in his 20s, he moved to Freeport, Florida. He spent many years in Freeport and made lifelong friends that he called family.
When he was 41, he met the love of his life, Faith, and in 2005 moved to Nova Scotia, Canada to be near her. On March 31, 2006, he married Faith and became her "Sugarbear". They enjoyed the simple things in life; fishing, picnics, watching movies and long drives. Murray was a big guy and was an intimidating person upon first impression. But all you had to do was spend a little bit of time with him to find out that he was a marshmellow inside. His heart was as big as his chest would allow. He would do anything for someone that needed help and when it came to his family and friends, he was loyal to defend them and have their back no matter what. His love and big heart are what his family will miss the most. Murray was employed with the Cape Breton Residential Society for 19 years where the staff and residents became like family to him. He will be truly missed.
Murray is survived by his loving wife, Faith; father, Howard Buck, mother, Linda Buck; sisters, Sheila Cannon (Claude); brother, Philip Buck (Sarah); sister-in-law, Linda Pasher (Joe); brother-in-law, John Haley (Jo Ann); daughters, Tanya (Dereck), Jennifer (Garrett), Melissa (Darren); grandchildren, Brian, Luke, Brooklyn, Brady, Haley, Alex; nephews, Aaron, Daniel, David, Ezra and nieces, Rose, Dahlia, Cattleya, Iris, and Camilia.

"God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered, 'come to me'. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts, but proved to us that He only takes the best."
