We the family, with heavy hearts announce the passing of Edith Morgan, RN, age 85 of Sydney on Friday, October 3rd, 2025 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney with family by her side.

Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Thomas & Jenny Morgan.

Edith worked as an R.N. taking care of others and she also worked many years in retail. She enjoyed her family.

Edith is survived by two sons, Billy (Debbie) and Andre, daughter, Cindy, special niece, Linda (Jeff), along with her grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great grandchild.

Besides her parents, Edith was predeceased by her brothers, Allan, Darrell, Freddie, sisters, Muriel, Linda and son, Brian.

The family would like to thank the Cape Breton Regional Hospital (Palliative Care) staff for all the care and compassion shown to Edith during her illness.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, Glace Bay. There will be no visitation or service. Graveside prayers will take place at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Sydney with the time and date to be announced.
