Gerard Anthony “Perch” Campbell, age 79 of Glace Bay passed away on Monday, October 13th, 2025 in the Glace Bay Hospital.

Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Butler & Audrey (Dorey) Campbell.

Gerard graduated from St. F.X. University with a Bachelor of Arts & Education Degree. He taught at St. Agnes School and Breton Education Centre, New Waterford.

Gerard was very disciplined and athletic; he was an avid runner- participating in many marathons. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing hockey and listening to Bob Dylan.

Gerard loved sharing his fishing bounty with family and friends. He was a quiet man, who truly enjoyed nature and all of its beauty.

He is survived by his four brothers, David (Ann), Francis (Grace), Peter (Debbie-deceased) and Tom (Sue-deceased.)
