It is with sadness we, the family, announce the passing of John C.W. Clements, age 66, on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.

Born in Toronto, ON, he was a son of the late John and Helen (Miller) Clements. 

John is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Lamey) of 41 years; son, Danny (Jasmine); daughter, Jennifer (Darin); grandchildren, Terrance, Justin, Tryston, Joselyn, Devin and Sara; brothers, Roy and Malcolm; sisters, Helen, Dorothy, Cecilia, and Darlene; several nieces, nephews, in-laws and best friend, Kevin.

John loved family and enjoyed many gatherings. He especially loved outdoors; hunting and fishing and sharing his many stories with his kids and grandchildren. John was a proud member of the New Waterford Kinsmen.

Besides his parents, John was predeceased by nephews, Tony Hawley, Michael Rose and Brandon Lamey.

There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and guidance of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, New Waterford. A Funeral Mass of celebration will be held on Friday, Oct. 31 at 10 a.m. in the Parish Church of St. Leonard, Mount Carmel Avenue, with Father Godwin Obike officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, New Victoria, with a reception to follow at the Army, Navy, Air Force, Unit 217, New Waterford.
