Mary Theresa MacLeod, age 93, a former resident of MacKay’s Corner, Glace Bay, passed away on Wednesday, February 4th, 2026 in Halifax where she had been residing for several years.
Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the late John & Cletus (MacNeil) Cathcart. Mary T. served in the Canadian Air Force for two years. She was employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Glace Bay as a receptionist and then as a secretary in the lab.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, Glace Bay. Interment will be held in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date. Online condolences to the family can be expressed at: www.vjmcgillivray.ca
