Beverly Fraser, RN, age 87 of Glace Bay passed away February 27/2026 in Cape Breton Regional Hospital after a brief illness with her family by her side.
She was predeceased by her Parents, Anna (Nutter) & Raymond Fraser as well as her sister-in-law, Brenda Fraser.
Beverly is survived by her brother Glenn Fraser, nephew Kenneth (Donna), nieces Kerri Fernandez, Kristine Fraser, grand nieces Daniella & Samantha Fernandez and cousin Ian MacDonald, New Hampshire.
Shortly after graduating from Glace Bay General Hospital School of Nursing in 1959, Beverly then relocated to California. Beverly obtained her Masters in Nursing Administration from California State University in San Francisco.
Beverly dedicated her professional life to the United States Public Health Service serving with the United States Coast Guard. Her 34 years of service saw her posted in numerous states across the USA, meeting many of her lifelong friends.
After retiring at the rank of Captain, Beverly lived in Mount Dora, Florida eventually returning home to Cape Breton in 2013 to be with family.
Per Beverly’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, Glace Bay.
