Robert (Bob) MacDougall, age 78 of Donkin passed away on Friday, May 22nd, 2026 in Taigh Na Mara Nursing Home, Glace Bay. Born in Glace Bay, Bob was the son of the late Duncan & Ebbie (Antonello) MacDougall.

Bob was a self employed carpenter by trade. He was also a self taught acrylic paint artist. Bob will be remembered as a very quiet, compassionate man.

He is survived by his loving wife, Bev (Briffett) MacDougall, his sister, Helen Lewis (Stephen), Port Caledonia, brother-in-law, Christopher Briffett (Terri Leigh), Ottawa and his sister-in-law, Judy Bushen, Bridgewater.

Besides his parents, Bob was predeceased by his sister, Linda Prendergast (John).

Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford. There will be no services at this time. Online condolences to the family can be expressed at: www.vjmcgillivray.ca
