It is with great sadness we share the news that Paul Harold MacLellan passed away peacefully at the QEII, Halifax Infirmary, on June 9, 2026, with his loving aunt and godmother, Francine, at his side.

Paul was the beloved son of Mary (Price) MacLellan and the late Paul MacLellan Sr.

Born in Sydney Mines on September 8, 1973, Paul grew up in Scotchtown and New Waterford. He was a good-natured soul who was liked by all who met him. Paul enjoyed the outdoors and loved to hunt and fish. He also had a passion for sports and, although he didn't share it with many, held a brown belt in karate.

A Plumber and Gas Fitter by profession, Paul spent many years working in Alberta both in residential and commercial sectors as well as out in the oil sands.

Paul is survived by his devoted mother, Mary; his uncles, Johnny, Harry and Charles; his aunts, Charmayne, Francine and Carmel as well as many cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, Paul MacLellan Sr.

May he be at peace and be in the Father's care.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul's memory may be made to the QEII Health Sciences Centre Foundation, Vascular Surgey Division.

His mother wishes to send a special thank you to the doctors and nursing staff of the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Vascular Surgery Division for their compassionate care and support.

She also extends her deepest gratitude to family and friends for their love, support, and kindness during this difficult time.

Cremation has taken place under the care and guidance of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, New Waterford. A Funeral Mass and Celebration of Life will be held in the Parish Church of St. Leonard, Mount Carmel Avenue, on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 10 a.m. with Father Jim Oliver officiating.
