It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eileen Croney on June 16, 2026, at home.

Eileen is survived by her two boys whom she cherished with all her heart; Shane, Ontario and Blaine, Dartmouth.

Eileen is also survived by sisters, Karen Wadden, Marie Lynk (Trumy), both of Glace Bay, Diane MacLeod (Gordie), Kitchener, ON, Louise Nightingale, Sydney; brother, Albert (Sharon), Glace Bay; brothers-in-law, Bernie Burt and Billy MacLean; sisters-in-law, Audrey Nightingale and May Nightingale, all of Glace Bay. Eileen was a proud grandmother to Mia and Coalbee.

She loved cats and dogs, especially her cat, Sam. Eileen was always there for anyone who needed a helping hand and enjoyed spending time with Keeghan whom she loved and adored like her own. 

Eileen will be missed by her extended family, Jason and Marilyn Kaiser, their children, and best friend, Roseann Reid.

Eileen is predeceased by her parents, Albert and Rachel Nightingale; brothers, Billy (Irene), Gerald and Johnny Nightingale; sisters, Katherine Burt "Sis", Colleen MacLean; brother-in-law, Stanley Wadden.

There will be no visitation or service as per Eileen's request. Cremation has taken place under the care and guidance of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, New Waterford.
