Robert (Bob) Warner, Glace Bay-Alberta Obituary

It is with great sadness I announce the passing of my husband and best friend, Robert (Bob) Warner. Bob passed July 5, 2026 at South Health Campus Hospital, Calgary, through complications of Guilliane Barre Syndrome. He was 76.


Bob spent many years as a miner in Cape Breton and Alberta. His last job was his favorite, expediting in Fort McMurray.


Bob is survived by his wife, Barb (White) Warner; children, Heather and Michael; two grandchildren; mother-in-law, Bobby White; brothers-in -law, John White, Peter White, Ross Borden; sisters-in-law, Norma Warner and Willena Warner.


Bob was predeceased by his mom and dad, Margaret and George Warner; brothers, Jim, George and Tom; father-in-law, Simon White and brother-in-law, Bernie White.


Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. all in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home Chapel, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford. Father Jim Oliver officiating. A reception will follow in the funeral home.
