Obituary of Billy Cadden

William John "Billy" Cadden New Waterford It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, William (Billy) John Cadden, age 66, on Sunday July 24, 2016 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, with his wife Mary at his side. Billy was born in New Waterford on August 30, 1949, the son of the late Robert and Marion (Sheppard) Cadden. He enjoyed spending time with his family and also loved to cook. Billy devoted his time to helping at events and services at Calvin United Church where he was an elder. He was a loving husband and father. We cannot find words to say how greatly he will be missed by his family and friends. Billy is survived by his wife, Mary (Jennex) Cadden, daughter, Wendilen (Robert)Wood, Debert; son, William Robert (Geraldine), New Waterford; grand son, Wyatt Robert Cadden, Acton, Ont; sister, Norma (Kenney) MacPhail, Kingston, Ont; brother, Charlie (Kay) Cadden, New Waterford and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, Billy was predeceased by his brothers, Robert Cadden Jr, Alfred Cadden Sr; nephew, Alfred Cadden Jr. and niece, Paula Cadden. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A Private family service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
