Obituary of Joseph Raymond Leforte,Toronto,New Waterford

Joseph R. LeForte passed away peacefully on June 14, 2018 in Toronto, Ontario at the age of 82 years.

Born in New Waterford, he was the son of the late Simon and Mary (Dewan) LeForte.

Joseph is survived by sister, Mary McNamara, and sister-in-law, Margaret LeForte. Joe is held firmly in the hearts of many nieces, nephews and cousins in Nova Scotia, as well as his extended family and close friends in Toronto.

Until his retirement he was engaged in Human Resources. His ability to listen was a singular quality of his success. Joe was a gentleman and will be remembered with admiration and respect for his love of family and close-knit friends, for his gentle grace, and for the warmth of his humour. He loved to travel, especially to the British Isles, and found his entrance to music through his passion for opera. He will be greatly missed.

Joseph was predeceased by parents; brother, Greg, and brother-in-law, Charles McNamara.

A Requiem Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, August 24th, 2018 at 10 am in Parish Church of St. Leonard's Church, Mount Carmel Avenue. New Waterford with Fr. Ray Huntley officiating. Interment will follow in St Agnes Cemetery New Waterford.
