Obituary of Rosaline Mary Duponte

Rosaline Mary (MacNamara) Duponte Reserve Mines It is with saddened hearts we announce the passing of Rosaline Mary Duponte, 82, formerly of Belgium Street, Reserve Mines on Friday, July 29, 2016 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Reserve Mines, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (MacDonald) MacNamara. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Rosaline worked for many years at Rosenblum’s and Rukasin’s Clothing Stores, Glace Bay. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Rosaline was predeceased by her husband, Henry Duponte, brothers, Leo, Thomas Joseph (twin), Vincie, Joe, Francis and sisters, Mary, Jane, Margaret, Carmella, Rita and Freda. As per her wishes there will be no visitation or funeral mass. Interment will be held this Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Reserve Mines with Fr. Dan Boudreau officiating. Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, Glace Bay. A very special thank you to the staff and nurses at Harbourstone Enhanced Care Facility for their compassion and love they expressed for Rosaline. They truly became her family.
