Obituary of Isheil Cameron, New Waterford
It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of our beautiful daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Isheil Cameron, age 57, on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018 in An Cala Palliative Care at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in New Waterford, she was a daughter of Sheila (O'Shea) Cameron and the late Bobby Cameron.
Isheil loved listening to music, games on her computer, cooking and being near the ocean, especially in Ingonish. In her earlier days, she received her CNA where she worked at the Maple Hill Manor and New Waterford Hospital. She had so many plans to do in life.
Isheil is survived by her greatest accomplishments, her pride and joy, her son, Robert Cameron, daughter-in-law, Jenn; precious grandson, Nolan; mother, Sheila; best friend, her brother, Keith; nephew, Christopher; sister, Shea (Darrell Mailman); niece, Shaylene; cousin and friend, Maureen Moore; friends, Marlene MacDougall, Shirley Rockett, Travis Hall (like a son to her), and many more.
She was very witty and full of badness and had a heart of gold. She was loved by many and will be missed.
Besides her dad, she was predeceased by her son, Brian 'Gimpy'.
She fought so hard with this terrible cancer and had many prayers but it was stronger than her.
Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 14, from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m. all in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home Chapel, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford. Deacon Leo Penny officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Army, Navy, Airforce, Unit 217, New Waterford. Donations in her memory may be made to the Hospice/Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton. Online expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at: www.vjmcgillivray.ca.
Special thanks to the medical staff at An Cala Palliative Care for their compassion and support. They were wonderful. Also, a thank you to Holly, RN.
You are in your loving son's and father's arms and at peace and pain free. Until we meet again.
Your loving family
