Obituary of Carmella Lee, River Ryan

Carmella Roseline Lee, 100, a long time resident of Maple Hill Manor, New Waterford, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the Manor.

Born in River Ryan, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Elizabeth (Quinn) Lee.

While residing at Maple Hill Manor, Carmella held the position of President of the Resident's Council for several years. She was also a talented piano player and could be found entertaining residents and staff for numerous special occasions. Carmella was a member of the Maple Hill Manor family for 26 years and will be sorely missed.

Carmella is the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by nieces, Florence 'Tootsie' MacLeod, Sharon Degiobbi, Marcella Bosse; nephews, Joseph 'Sonny' (Theresa) Lee and Timothy Cameron.

Besides her parents, Carmella was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph and Alexander Lee; one sister, Clara Cameron and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford. A Funeral Mass of celebration will take place Friday, December 21, at 10 a.m in the Parish Church of St. Leonard, Mount Carmel Avenue, with Father Ray Huntley officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, River Ryan, with a luncheon to follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Plummer Ave., New Waterford.
