Our sincere sympathies are extended to your family on Theresa's passing. When my mother (Mary Meagher) and I would visit Nora, within minutes a call would be made to Theresa to come over to play cards. It was always a treat to witness the fun, banter and laughter that would occur. Another memory I would like to share, would have been around the time Bucky was battling cancer. Bucky and Theresa had come over to Brookvillage for Margaret Campbell's birthday. They had stayed at my home and when I woke early the next morning they were sitting on my veranda sharing what I believe, was a very special moment. A lovely, kind lady who will be greatly missed. May memories of Theresa, and the love of family surround you and give you strength in the days ahead.

To the family of a great lady,
Theresa is someone I remember with deep admiration and respect. So when I read about her death I felt so sad, to think she is gone from this life is hard to grasp. With the kind of faith she had,it helps to think about the fact that now she is with God and all the family members who went before her.
My memories of her include going to a hockey game with her, Bucky and DA., a trip I made back to New Waterford for a funeral and Theresa made sure she packed us a big lunch for the trip back to Antigonish. Another lovely memory I have is the tender support and care she gave to family members who were sick. She offered support, kindness and love to many people.
Please accept my sincere sympathy and the assurance of my prayer. Rest In Peace kind and gentle lady
Love

Dear Walsak family,
My sincerest condolences on the passing of Theresa. I have incredibly fond memories of her, having lived just around the corner and from being involved in “ball” with Mark.
One particular story from long ago brings me great joy when I reminisce of those days. We were playing inter provincials in PEI and I was “on deck”. Theresa called me over to the fence where I suspected she was to give me some encouragement. She indeed did, in her own way....as she pulled a bottle of holy water from her purse and sprinkled it on me! Being Jewish, and not understanding the gravity of her gift, I took it as if she was spritzing me with acid lol. I’m not sure if it fired me up enough to get a hit or not, but that memory is forever embedded in the “great memories of my mind”.
You are all so lucky to have had her in your lives!

As I read this beautiful obituary which captured Theresa perfectly. As I looked at the magnificent photo, I was brought back to many years ago and remember your parents with fondness and respect.
Theresa and Bucky not only taught us how to live but as described she also taught us how to die.
I agree her faith and love of the Church certainly sustained her in her final days.
I am spending the Winter in Florida and assure you that I will be praying with you as you say farewell ( for now) to this wonderful woman and examplary Catholic.

To the Walzak & MacKinnon Families,
I wouldn't trade growing up in New Waterford for any amount of money. This is largely due to wonderful people like Theresa. I remember her back when I was much younger and then, as I grew into adulthood, appreciating her even more. She was a great woman, inside and out. The thing I remember most was her fantastic sense of humor. Wherever Theresa was there was bound to be lots of laughter!! I am very sorry for your great loss. I hope you will all find the comfort and solace you need in the love and support of family and friends, and in the many memories of Theresa in happier times.
With my deepest sympathy,
Florence Milley
