Obituary of Eliza MacIntyre, Glace Bay
Eliza Bernadette MacIntyre
Glace Bay
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our loving mother, Eliza Bernadette MacIntyre, 51 on Saturday, February 23/2019. Born on July 16, 1967, she was the daughter of the late Marguerite (Burke) MacIntyre.
She was predeceased by her husband, Carl Turnbull in 2018.
Eliza is survived by her daughters, Candice MacIntyre (Elliott) and Katelyn Young (Brogen), as well as her 4 grandchildren, Braiden, Leigha, Lincoln and Olivia whom she lived for; they meant everything to her.
Eliza is also survived by her brothers, Tom MacIntyre (Suzanne), Dartmouth and Danny MacIntyre (Claudette), Halifax. She loved her nieces and nephews and many cousins whom all meant more than words can describe to her. Family was everything to Eliza; she has many friends and will be missed by many as she has been part of so many people's lives and touched the hearts of many.
Eliza was employed with Resi Care CB Association for over 16 years where she cared for mentally handicapped individuals. She loved her work and the girls she cared for at the Deerfield Drive Home. It was more than a job for Eliza. Her coworkers were not only that, they were her friends as well and were always a pleasure to be around. Eliza was an avid softball player for the Rebels softball team, where she created many memories and had so much fun. Eliza will be missed and her story was just not ordinary, she was a person you loved to be around.
Eliza touched so many lives and was the one who you knew would always be there....She will be remembered as so much more than our mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She meant so much to everyone she cared for; Eliza’s story has suddenly ended, but she will be remembered forever in our hearts.
