My deepest condolences Doreen to you and your family. Ernie was a comrade in arms, a veteran and a good friend. Ernie and I first met in Ottawa at RCAF Station Rockcliffe in the early 60's where he was a crewman on the DC3 Dakota aircraft. We were later stationed together at Summerside PEI with 415 Squadron, chasing Russian Subs and Battleships all over the North Atlantic. It was indeed an interesting time in our lives. He will be deeply missed by all of us.

To all the MacMillan clan,
The news of Ernie's passing has brought back a flood of memories of growing up in New Waterford and, in particular, the neighborhood of Warren Avenue and Eighth Street. What times we had....games of baseball,Leehockers, Peggy, Red Rover, and Eevie Ivy Over; kitchen parties at MacMillan's with Art on the fiddle and Bernie on the piano playing all the old tunes; and the "back-and-forth" across the street to borrow a cup of sugar, play a game of Canasta, or just enjoy each other's company and have a few laughs. It was a neighborhood like no other!! It is sad to lose such a special person but I feel so fortunate to have had people like Ernie, and all his family, in my life. Please know that I am thinking of all of you as you go through this difficult and challenging time. Rest peacefully Ernie.
