It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Florence Catherine Copley, age 68 on Monday, March 11th, 2019 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.

Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (MacDonald) Murray.

Florence was member of St. Joseph’s Church, Reserve Mines.

She worked at Snow White Laundry for many years. Florence was a member of the Deaf Association, she loved Christmas, enjoyed doing crafts, fishing, dress making and meeting people.

Florence  is survived by her partner, Lawrence, sister, Dale ( Ralph) Faulkner, Sydney Mines ; brother, Donald (Helen) Murray, Reserve Mines, foster brother, Sheldon O’ Aucoin, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place on Thursday March 14th, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home and Reception Centre, 16 Reserve Street , Glace Bay. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 11 am in St. Joseph’s Church, Reserve Mines. Fr. Dan Boudreau officiating. A reception to follow in the basement of the church.  Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Reserve Mines at a later date.

Donations can be made to the Deaf Association.
