It is with heartfelt sadness, that we announce the passing of our wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. Connie (Murray) MacKinnon formerly of Whitney Pier and a long-time resident of Glace Bay, passed away unexpectedly at home on March 08, 2016. Connie was born on November 07, 1932 and was predeceased by her loving husband, Jim MacKinnon. Connie is survived by her three daughters, Lori (David), Lisa (Mark) and Erin (Merril) and by six grandchildren, Mark, Rebekah, Connor, Bhreagh, Liam and Brennah.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. A private family service will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Connie’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
