Obituary of Nicoline 'Lena' Martha Graham, New Waterford
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving mother, Lena (Perin) Graham, on November 6, 2019 at the age of 85.
Born in New Waterford, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Corina (Crescenzi) Perin.
She will be sadly missed by those who knew her. Her devotion to family was endless. She received so much joy spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; there is nothing she wouldn’t do for them. Her dedication to her friends was unlimited. If you were a friend of Lena’s, you were set for life.
Lena leaves behind sons, Louie (Catherine), James, John (Audrey); her only daughter, Charlene; Her gifts, grandchildren, Lisa (Jim), Adam, Gregory (Kerri), Justin, Brandon, Jasmine, Julia, Michael, Corina (Drew), Holly (Ryan) and Megan (Norbert); her blessings, great- grandchildren, Hardy, Marni Nicolena (Nannie’s namesake) Graham and Jaxson. With every kiss and hug came her deep love reminding them they were “Her Pride and Joy”. She is also survived by brother, Pino Perin (Bernee-deceased) and sister, Marie (Jim) Martin. Lena also leaves behind loving nieces and nephews, neighbours and friends.
Lena was predeceased by husband, Charles as well as parents, Louis and Corina (Crescenzi) Perin; brother, Patsey; sister, Maria.
Special thanks to staff at Glace Bay and Cape Breton Regional Hospital for all their support during our mother’s short stay.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 11 from 7-9 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford.
