Obituary of Theresa Stubbard, L.P.N., Dominion

Theresa Stubbard, age 63 of Dominion, passed away on Thursday, January 16th, 2020 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Veronica (McNeil) Stubbard. Theresa was formerly employed at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, V.O.N. and homecare as an L.P.N. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and going to antique garage and home sales. Theresa has a great sense of humour. She is survived by her partner of many years, Sheldon Cole, sisters, Agnes (Dan Gracie), Ont., Joan (Joe Smith), Reserve, Florence, Alberta, brothers, Simon, Reserve, Ray, Dominion, step sister, Marge, New Waterford, step brother, Patrick, Glace Bay, brothers in law, Blair (Doreen), Shawn (Laurie), sister in law, Arlene (Herbie) many nieces and nephews. Theresa is also survived by a special niece, Kim and her partner, Noel Seymour. Noel donated his kidney to Theresa when she was ill. Besides her parents, Theresa was predeceased by her brothers, Art, Peter, sister, Mary, step brother, Johnny, step sisters, Thelma, Jenny, nephew, Joe, nieces, Tanya, Wendy and a sister in law, Darlene. Visitation is Wednesday, January 22nd from 1pm until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m., all in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, Chapel & Reception Centre, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay. Fr. Dan Boudreau officiating. Interment in MacLeod’s Crossing at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Theresa may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
