Dear Grandpa,
thanks for your continuous love, generosity, humor, laughs, and positive spirit that were always a source of warmth for me and my family. I always looked forward to visiting you and hanging out with you, and our long phone calls, ever since I was a wee lad and all the way to me taking your three great grandsons to visit you near the end.
We cherish the memories we have of you. I will keep retelling to others your amazing stories of bringing home lobster from the harbor discreetly, and the tales of the coal mine. As well, I will retell your great expressions, from holy whisperin' ginger cakes to changin the water on the beans. Those stories and expressions could kill a horse from a hundred yards I tell ya.
You were great grandpa, and an amazing grandpa.
