Obituary of Barbara Ann Forsyth

It is with sadness that we, the family of Barbara, announce her passing at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on Monday, September 26, 2016. Born in North Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Euphemia (Duguid) Forsyth. She grew up on '12 Hill' and attended both Central and Saint Agnes Schools. Barbara had a love for fashion, jewelry and having her hair done. Always looking her best, she enjoyed when she was told just how nice she looked! She spent the last eight years as a resident of Victoria Haven Nursing Home, Glace Bay. The entire staff became her second family and showered her with love and excellent care. We will remember you all for always. Barbara is survived by her sister Linda (Gabe) Gazzola; nephew John Robert (Mary) and their son, Noel. She has numerous cousins who will remember her always. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford. Barbara will be interred with her mother at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens on Monday, October 3, 2016, at 2 pm where Rev. Duncan Roach will officiate at a graveside service. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice or the recreation department at Victoria Haven Nursing Home, 5 3rd Street, Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, B1A-5V2, in care of Joanne White.
