Obituary of David Arnold Broad , New Waterford

It is with heartfelt sadness that we, the family of David Arnold Broad, born September 15, 1961 announce his passing at home on April 14, 2020. David touched the hearts of so many people. He always had a quick smile and would lend a hand to anyone in need. David loved spending time with his family and friends, his extended family with Hinchey's Rides and Amusements, and his children and grandchildren. He loved to pick on them and say 'back in my day' followed by something cute. David is survived by his wife, Anna Broad (Tomiczek); his children, Amanda, Allan, Michael (Tamisha), Stephanie (Steven); his grandchildren, Maya, Alexis, Braydon, Blakelynn, Payton, Summer, Carter, Steven and Noah; his sister, Morva Coady. He was predeceased by his parents, Arnold and Charlotte (Valentine) Broad as well as his sister, Heather Keith-Broad. We little knew that morning, God was going to call your name, In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone, For part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide, And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, But God calls us one by one, the chain will link again. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and guidance of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford. A celebration of David's life will be held at a later date.
