I've known Fabe for many years and no matter when, he always had time for a few kind words and a smile. He took pride in his work, especially his "second career" as a caterer. He catered to many meals for the Chordsmen and Cape Breton Songbirds of which my wife and I are involved. I also worked with his boys, he raised a fine family. May God have mercy on him and bring comfort and understanding to his family. May God Bless. Rodney & Madonna Donovan

I’ll never forget our daily chats and your passion for your family❤️ Fabe you were my favourite customer to see walk through the doors at Mira ferry market every day, you always brought joy wherever you were! And you’re dearly sweet wife and her ice cream, you were the couple I will always strive to be. I’ll never forget your story’s about how she seen the flyer for the white car and said she wanted it and was set on it no changing her mind lol, so you made it happen! Anything to make her smile, Fabe would say. She was the light of his life! Through the laughs there are always tears.. and through the last year fabe came in, he would speak of his wife’s altimeters time to time and how it affects him.. She would forget his name and who he was but always loved going for long drives to the country, so he would pack up the car and do their daily drive for ice cream and toast or coffee. Just to keep her smiling. It’s not a doubt in my mind you passed of a broken heart, your love was so strong! after your wifes passing I waited and waited to see you again so i could just give you the biggest hug and give my condolences.. but I never did get to see you again. His genuine sole and kind heart I will never forget! I’m sure you are both dining in paradise❤️ My thoughts and prayers with your family during this difficult time. May both of your beautiful soles Rest In Peace ❤️

Sending my deepest condolences to all of Fabian's family. He was such a good friend and colleague to my Mom, Carmella. Whenever I visited NSP as a kid, Fabian always made me laugh and was quick to give a hug. I've been to many weddings/receptions catered by Fabian and will always remember how he was diligent in ensuring everything was delicious and people were happy. Fabian, thank you for your love and kindness you always showed to my Mom, Paula and I. You will be missed. Thinking of your family during this time.
Sincerely,

To Fabe’s family, I offer my sincere condolences. Fabe was so well known and admired for his amazing suppers over the years. There’s not too many weddings that didn’t have his name attached, including mine. A genuine and sweet soul who will be missed by many. Rest easy Fabe

To Fabe’s family I extend my sincere condolences. Although I only had the pleasure of talking with him a few times, they were meaningful to me because of the genuineness I felt from him. What a fine person. Helen Marie was my mother Frances Cox’s first cousin and she has shared many childhood memories of time they spent together. God bless.

Last time I spoke with Fabe was a month ago on a Wednesday evening because “ that is a night I am sure to be home.” He said. We chatted for almost an hour during which time he talked a lot about Helen Marie and how much he missed her and how much he loved her.
I look on Fabe’s passing as the ending to a real Love Story of two people who because of their enduring love for each other, overcame so many challenges in their life together. They were separated but now they are back together.
Michael, Danny, Lorraine and Josh we send you our love and condolences on your Father/Poppy’s passing.

We are saddened to hear of the passing of Fabe. He always took care of the meal for the Cape Breton Chordsmen's Ladies Night/Installation of Officers every year. A better meal you couldn't get from a caterer. You will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing you and having one of your meals. RIP Fabe. :'( <3
