Obituary of Mable Morgan
Mable Morgan, age 78 of Glace Bay passed away on Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Glace Bay Hospital with her family by her side.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late George and Barbara (Matheson) Lyons.
Mable was a member of Knox United Church, Glace Bay. For many years she was employed at the Glace Bay General Hospital (Laundry Department). Mable loved playing darts, bingo and listening to music. A quiet and generous lady who loved her family dearly; this will be the lasting memory her family beholds.
Mable is survived by her daughter, Debbie MacQueen, four sons, Daniel MacQueen (Valerie), Brashill MacQueen (Cheryl), Dougie MacQueen (Yvonne), Terry Frank (Tracey), two brothers, Brashill and Mardy (Jessica). She will be sadly missed by her 21 grandchildren, Stephen, Artie, Nelson, Duncan, Matthew, Heidi, Melanie, Danielle, Ashley, Nicole, Dineen, Tabitha, Nicholas, Robert, J.D., Darren, Stephen, Matthew, Kristi, Kendra, Nicole and numerous great grandchildren.
Mable was predeceased by her first husband, Duncan MacQueen, common law husband, Bill Frank, second husband, Karl Morgan, daughter, Margie, son, Kevin, grand daughter, Renee and four sisters, Fay, Lovie, Margaret and Hugheen.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Bob Biggar is Friday at 3 p.m. in Knox United Church followed by a reception in the church hall.
Interment will take place at a later date in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. Mable will be taken to the church at noontime on Friday.
