Dear Dougie, Darryl, David and of course Dan. I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was truly a lovely lady. I remember the days when all of our homes in the neighborhood were open doors to everyone’s friends and the mothers treated those friends of their kids like family. As I got older and moved away, I cherished those days and the life we know of our little town. Whenever I returned to see my family I was sure to book an appointment at Brine’s. Your mom and I would always catch up on our families and I would find out the latest on you guys.

I am shocked and saddened to learn of Rose’s passing. I’ve known Rose and her family for many years back to the days when she lived next door to me and then later moving to Mahon Street which is now owned by my granddaughter. Rose left her a beautiful personal note when she walked out of that home for her last time. Thinking of Rose and that house brings the memories of how gorgeous her flower pots were every summer. So many pleasant memories of Rosemary. She was such a lady, so soft spoken and gentle but always ready to share a laugh. My earliest memories are of meeting and seeing her at Brine's.
Those two spent day after day laughing and loving eachother. They never "worked", they just enjoyed.
