Obituary of Yvonne Theresa Boutilier, New Waterford

Yvonne Boutilier died peacefully at home surrounded by family on June 22, 2020 at age 94. Yvonne Theresa Lefort was born March 13,1926 in Cheticamp and moved to New Waterford in 1940 where she met and married her true love, Clayton Boutilier. Yvonne loved life; she enjoyed live music, bingo, and laughing. Nanny's pride in her family could be seen on her face. Her devotion to her role as grandmother was unsurpassed, and she became one to everyone she met, young and old. She especially loved connecting with loved ones via Facebook and family Zoom calls. She will be remembered for her thumbs ups and her warm, loving heart. She was predeceased by her husband, Clayton; son, John; daughter in-law, Debbie; two infant sons; brother, George, and sisters, Eileen, Olive, and Rita. Yvonne is survived by sons, Clay (Shirley), Ontario and Rick (Gina), BC; daughter, Marlene (Robbie) MacEachern; daughter in-law, Shelley, New Waterford; very special buddy, Tucker, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren from coast to coast and beyond. She also leaves behind brothers, Stan, Don, and Gordon; sisters, Marg Chesel, Katie Brown, and Mary Percival. Thank you to Dr. Jennifer Lange, New Waterford Home Care, New Waterford Hospital second floor, and community EMTs. Your kindness during this time will never be forgotten. Cremation has taken place under the care and guidance of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, New Waterford. A celebration of Yvonne’s life will take place at a later date.
