Edgar was kind, observant, funny, thoughtful and present. He always took the time to say hello and to check in. Edgar paid attention to what was going on around him and he truly cared about others and about his work. Edgar was with our Canuck Place team for a short time but he had great impact on all of our hearts with his gentleness, quick wit and easy going presence. I will miss Edgar. He took the time for others. he took the time to say hello and check in. The simple things have the greatest impact. We are all thinking of you, his family, and sending you much love and deepest condolences in the midst of your grief.

At Canuck Place we share in your sadness as you remember Edgar. My first memory of Edgar was when my colleagues were so enthusiastic about the person they had just interviewed that they could hardly wait to work with. Edgar's bright personality, creative ideas and good food, meant he was renowned throughout Canuck Place. During his too brief time with us, he positively impacted everyone he met, his colleagues, volunteers, children and families. It takes a special person to work at the hospice, and Edgar was definitely that. I hope you can take some comfort in how much he meant to Canuck Place.

appreciated his Caring manner and the love that he put into his food. He will be missed by his colleagues, we were able to share together memories and stories that we had Of Edgar. We were able to light a candle for him and share together in our grief. Wishing his family and friends peace at this time thank you Dawn Clarke.

Though I only knew Edgar for a short time at Canuck Place Children's Hospice, he was an incredible asset to the team. I gave him his flu shot when he just started working, and his humor through it all showed that he would fit in just fine. A few weeks ago there was a little girl that passed away, and her older brother desperately wanted pancakes for lunch. Without skipping a beat, Edgar whipped up pancakes covered in syrup for the grieving child. I will never forget the smile on the little boy's face when Edgar delivered the special lunch. I will miss Edgar's caring and compassionate demeanor both as a colleague and for the patients and families at Canuck Place. Edgar will be deeply missed.
