To Linda’s family...I am saddened to read Linda’s obituary in the Herald. We roomed together in Halifax after graduating from Teachers College. She was a dear friend-I remember her pleasant disposition and caring nature. So sorry for your loss. My regret is I didn’t reconnect with her but I had hoped one day to do that. We lost a great neighbour ... I can’t believe I am going to look over to their home and not see Linda sitting there on their front porch. I will miss her smile, her daily waves, her laughter. She was always my neighbour (except when she lived away). Her sister, Helen and I have been friends for sixty years. When Linda wasn’t home we would sneak into the front room and play her records .... Bob Dylan, James Taylor, etc. She probably knew, but never said a word to us. To her family, we offer our sincerest sympathy and prayers to you all. May she Rest In Peace. Until we meet again. God bless you all. David and Rosemary Howie.
