Obituary of Barbara Mary MacDonald, Birch Grove

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our loved one, Barb MacDonald, age 55 of Birch Grove, NS on July 1st, 2020. Born in Glace Bay, Barb was the daughter of the late Clarence “Ches” and Joan (Wolfe) MacDonald. Barb had a great love of animals and the outdoors and one of her favorite things to do was walk the beach and gather beach stones for her collection. Barb will be greatly missed by her common law spouse, Ross Boone, her brothers, Stuart (Janet), Ken, David (Linda), Keith (Patty), Brian (Angie) and her sister, Rita (John Koole). She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Barb will be especially missed by her dog, Buddy and cats, Mitzie and Callie. Cremation has taken place. There will be a private family gathering. No flowers please. Arrangements are under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Chapel, Cremation & Reception Center, 16 Reserve Street, Glace Bay.
