Obituary of Arthur Joseph Doyle, Victoria Mines
It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Arthur Joseph Doyle on July 4, 2020.
Art passed peacefully at home. He was the son of the late Joseph and Alice Doyle.
Daddy was born Oct. 30, 1937 and is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 59 years, Emily (MacCuish); his loving daughter, Vicki (Stan) Hillier, Victoria Mines, and his best bud, his son, Artie (Marilyn) of Alberta.
He was 'Poppy' to Jillian, Artie (Jenn), Scott (Ashley), and Samantha (Josh). He is lovingly remembered as 'Papa' with the 'Red Car' by the little loves of his life, his great-grandchildren, Lucas, Erik, Madalyn, Emma, Ethan, Cooper, Eli, Everly and Calab.
Daddy is also survived by his brothers, Austin (Terrina), and Pat (Frances).
Besides his parents, Daddy was predeceased by his brothers, Kevin, Johnnie, Billy, and sister, Elizabeth.
Art worked for Devco for 43 years in No. 12 Colliery, then moved on to the International Coal Piers. He loved to fish and hunt but his secret joy was spending time in the woods with his son and having daily visits from his great grandchildren.
Daddy will be greatly missed by many.
At this time we would like to thank Dr. Oei for his many years of care as well as his homemaker angels for your care the last number of years.
As per request, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, New Waterford. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation. Online words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.vjmcgillivray.ca.
It's not goodbye but see you later.
We love you forever and a day.
