Obituary of Jean MacNeil, New Waterford

It is with sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Jean MacNeil, 62, of New Waterford at home on July 17, 2020. Born in New Waterford, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Marjorie (Hinchey) MacNamara. Jean's favourite pastime was socializing with all those who passed by her apartment door. Surviving are her son, Kevin MacNamara, North Sydney; sisters, Clara (Francis) Reid and Evelyn O'Donnell (James), both of New Waterford; many nieces and nephews including special niece and nephew, Jean and Elvis Reid. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Archie MacNeil and twin sister, Joan Edwards. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home Chapel, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2020 with Father Ray Huntley officiating.
