Dan, Jessie, Jackie and Family, our heartfelt condolences on the loss of your Mom. Seeing your Mom's picture brings me back to all the times I showed up at the house visiting after I had moved away, she would always greet me with a smile offering a cup of tea and some food of course.
We shared the same nickname so it was tricky when I was at the house wondering which "Dinny" people wanted to talk too. Always remember the heat being on in the house in the summer to keep her warm :)
Dinny was an incredible lady, may all the fond memories of your Mom help carry you through these tough times.

Janice and Jessie ,
I am so sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. As you both know I always enjoyed seeing your mom and having a little chat.
Please accept my condolences to both of you and your family. She loved you very much and you both were so good to her. Sometimes you meet someone and you immediately like them. That’s the way I felt about your mom. God Bless

My first introduction to the Kavanaugh household began with Bo singing you with Stars in your eyes, and Dinny replying with Oh Shut up Bo.Which I learned in a very short time was his way of loving her and her way of being classy .Not long after that I learned their door never shut, the house was always filled with lots of people, love and laughter. Then came along Chad. If I heard it once I heard it 100 times, give me that baby with a mumbling in a low voice.Which I understood to be her motherly way. Chad has spent every weekend with her since he was 2. I learned early that Dinny was not having it. If I sent him over with 2 outfits he came back with 4 new ones.My mittens were never warm enough his sneakers too worn ,only to be replaced .Yup again her way of making sure he had what he needed.I always appreciated her for these little things. As Chad got older into his teens he would sometimes growl,Nanny washed my wallet,or Nanny moved my wallet. But when the wallet was back it was never empty xo. Dinnys rules I would say to him everything has a place ,and he sure did and he knew it .I will always be thankful to her for helping me raise a Beautiful Kind Loving Boy,who by the way Dinny "keeps everything in its place!"Chelsie came along and although the bond was different from her and Chad's, CHelsie always knew she loved her.I feel blessed and grateful as a Mother to have had you in my children's Life.Sleep well Dinny

I worked with Din at Maple Hill Manor, when it first opened in 1977, and I’ll always remember how kind she was to all of the residents! She always made them special treats, and they loved her for that! I also remember how much fun she and Kitty Bauld had with all of the residents!

Dearest Kavanaugh Family,
Knowing your beautiful mom is with her love Bo, Trisha and Danny may give you some comfort. She was one of my most favourite people ever. She always made me laugh and brighten everyone’s day. I loved looking at her almost daily pics to see what she was wearing. She always looked like she walked out of the catalogue lol. May all the beautiful memories of your mom bring you all some comfort. Love always Shelley , Dave , Breton and Anna xoxo
